Meet the Kangaroos!

The Red Kangaroo is the world's largest marsupial. The are native to Australia but have been introduced around the world. The kangaroos eat a fairly specific diet of a timothy mix hay and special pelleted feed. They do love the occasional snack! The males are usually a dark red color and are larger than the females. The females range from a red to almost a blue/gray color and are somewhat smaller than the males. The females carry their babies, known as joeys, in their pouch until they are ready to emerge and hop around! Our kangaroos are all bottle fed and friendly. This enables us to easily be able care for them in the event they are sick or injured. It also allows us to be able to check on the joeys growing inside their mother's pouch! You may get lucky and witness a cute little baby kangaroo sticking its head out during your visit! Kangaroos are some of the most interesting animals we have and we enjoy sharing that with our visitors.
